A pleasure to be invited to chat with Kristina on the KSM Podcast GBO. In this episode I share my own story, my personal and professional journey through trauma, healing, and recovery. From the front lines of emergency care to founding my own trauma counselling practice,
An enlightening episode of "Mind Management Mentors" offers rare insights into the nature of PTSD and innovative solutions that challenge conventional therapy methods.

I have had the privilege of working with Fran as my trauma counsellor, and I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism, expertise, and compassionate approach. From the very first session, Fran created a safe, supportive environment where I felt heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Her ability to guide complex conversations with clarity and sensitivity has been invaluable throughout my healing process.
Fran combines extensive knowledge with a calm, grounded presence, helping me develop practical tools and long-term strategies for managing trauma. She approaches each session with patience, authenticity, and a deep respect for personal boundaries, which has allowed me to make significant progress at a pace that feels right for me.
I would confidently recommend Fran to anyone seeking trauma informed counselling. Her skill, kindness, and commitment to her clients’ wellbeing make her an exceptional practitioner

I consulted Fran Nguyen after a particularly traumatic period of my life. The fact that there are a specified number of sessions and Fran’s non-judgemental, empathetic manner appealed. Through the process, Fran reminds you who you are and helps you to re-join the best of yourself and your strength after you’ve been knocked off course. It is a wonderful process and it leaves you with the tools to continue on your own to maintain success. I have no hesitation recommending Fran to anyone who feels they need support following trauma.

Fran and I met through the PSA. She is a kind, energetic person with zest for life, a good listener and is a "renewal of the mind" practitioner. As someone who has done EMDR in the past, I found this practice quite easy to access mentally and emotionally because Fran's work is reminiscent of EMDR, but without the buzzers and lights. It relies 100% on the imagination, which means that for most of us in the creative arts field, this is a great match. As a visual thinker, this helped the most. Definitely recommend her as she is very passionate about her work, which makes it contagious. Her voice is quite soothing and she has a calming nature! (:

“I have PTSD and I have tried CBT, EMDR and TRTP and if I had to describe the difference between these three treatment modalities, I would say CBT targets the conscious mind. EMDR targets both the conscious and subconscious mind somewhat effectively, while TRTP targets only the subconscious mind and does so more effectively. Trauma in my experience is like a virus infecting a laptop, it infects it or a programme. Then all you need to do is install those programs that do what you want, when CBT and EMDR do, but what happens if the virus infects the entire operating system? What if now your laptop works but glitches often, what do you do? You need to format the laptop and install a new operating system, and that is what TRTP does”
